Tasia Filippatos
Tasia Filippatos is the President of Disney Consumer Products, the global retail division of The Walt Disney Company. This division includes the world’s largest licensing business with $62 billion in annual retail sales, the top children’s publishing brand and one of the leading games licensors. It is also comprised of the global Disney Store business and hundreds of shopping destinations at Disney’s theme parks.
With the mission of “creating happiness every day,” Tasia’s global organization brings Disney’s beloved characters and brands into the daily lives of fans around the world.
With a presence in over 100 categories and a global reach across more than 180 countries, Disney Consumer Products works with the biggest brands in fashion, luxury, technology, gaming and publishing to reach consumers at every level of retail.
Disney Consumer Products is at the forefront of creativity and innovation, including developing the all-new games and entertainment universe with Epic Games. This collaboration will invite fans to play, watch, shop and engage with Disney stories and characters in groundbreaking ways in the digital space.
Prior to this role, Tasia oversaw the Disney Consumer Products business in Europe, Middle East and Africa as senior vice president. There, she drove the development of commercial strategies spanning all product categories, spearheaded DCP’s luxury business and oversaw Disney Store retail and e-commerce in Europe.
Earlier in her career, Tasia led global communications and public affairs teams for both Disney Experiences and DCP. In these roles, she drove transformative change, instilling a business-driven communications approach to enhance the Disney brand.
Tasia sits on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish International and previously served on the Development Board of the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the Board of
Disney Cruise Line.
Prior to joining The Walt Disney Company in 2008, Tasia served in a number of senior level government positions in Washington, D.C. and began her career as a litigation
attorney. She is an honors graduate of Claremont McKenna College and received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
