Simone Romano
Economist; Former Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister of Italy,

Simone Romano is Economist at the OECD, in the office of the Chief Economist. Previously, he worked as senior advisor to the G7/G20 Sherpa Unit at the Office of the Italian Prime Minister. Before that, he worked as researcher and lecturer at both the University of Roma Tre and the Freie Universitat in Berlin. He worked also with the former Italian Minister of Finance Fabrizio Saccomanni at the International Affairs Institute.
He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Roma Tre and a MSc in Macroeconomic Policy and Financial Markets from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics.
