Deborah Patton
Deborah Patton is Managing Director and Editor in Chief of The Robin Report, a digital multimedia platform division of ASG|Chure Gerdeman. TRR is directed to global C-level executives on the strategy and operations of the retail industry and related brands. Deborah has had an exensive career in consumer and B2B publishing. Prior to The Robin Report, she was VP of Corporate Communications for Nielsen Business Media, at the time with over 80 tradeshows and publisher of 56 B2B titles including Billboard, Adweek and The Hollywood Reporter. She has deep experience as an innovator in the luxury, entertainment, retail, media & marketing, teen, menswear, shelter, bridal, packaged goods, finance, and pop culture markets. Her past positions have included publishers Conde Nast, Hearst, Primedia, Fairchild, Lapham’s Quarterly, and Reader’s Digest, with leadership roles at Town & Country, HG, Architect, Interiors, Connoisseur, M Magazine, Live!, Seventeen and Modern Bride. She is the founder of Applied Brillliance, a thought leadership advisory group that identifies emerging trends and produces provocative, multidisciplinary immersion events that explore what what’s happening next, what it means and how it matters, professionally and personally.
Deborah has served on the Board of Directors of Fashion Group International and is a past member of the World Bank Global Ocean Partnership and Plasticity, a global NGO dedicated to reinventing the future of plastics. served on the development committee at Berkshire Hills Music Academy, a school for children with learning disabilities who are gifted in music. She holds a dual B.A. degree in Art History and French from Pitzer College with international studies at l’Ecole de Louvre in Paris.
When she is not immersed in TRR, Deborah can be found at Maker Faires with her artist son conducting make-your-own 44 Daughters doll workshops … or hiking in the Adirondacks with her husband and their two young, highly energetic English Springer Spaniels
