As president and CEO of Southeastern Grocers (SEG), Anthony T. Hucker has led the financial restructuring, cultural transformation and omnichannel retail strategy of one of the largest conventional supermarket chains in the U.S. His focus on operational excellence, leadership development, and cultural transformation have been the cornerstones of his success in multiple business turnarounds, delivering growth and profitability while building the capabilities for long-term strategic advantage.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Anthony has held a variety of leadership positions, including head of operations of ALDI U.K., president of Royal Ahold Group’s Giant Food, executive board member of Ahold USA, as well as numerous roles, internationally and domestically, during his tenure at Walmart.

Anthony is a trusted and respected industry speaker, news contributor and international business school guest lecturer. He serves on seven boards, including SEG, NRF, FMI, and several technology and innovation companies.

Anthony received an honours degree from Manchester Metropolitan University, U.K. in retail marketing and an international diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Anthony successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2023. He prioritizes humility, kindness and respect, firmly believing that companies achieving a harmonious balance between these values are best positioned to excel in today’s dynamic market.
